Punta Gorda Attractions

Punta Gorda is Charlotte County's only incorporated community. The old city dock has been transformed into Fisherman's Village, marina and shopping.

Nearby is the Octagaon Wildlife Sanctuary, which provides a home for injured or unwanted wildlife.
A.C. Freeman House
Built in 1903, the A.C. Freeman house was saved from demolition by community volunteers who renovated it back to its Queen Anne style. It was moved in 2005 after receiving significant damage from Hurricane Charley. The ground floor of the home is filled with period furnishings and is open to the public.
