Boca Raton Attractions

The 1927 restored Town Hall is home to the Boca Raton Historical Society. The Mediterranean Revival style building, designed by Addison Mizner, features a gold dome, cypress millwork, pecky cypress ceiling, and fan-lit windows.

Exhibits include archival materials as well as traveling exhibits ranging from history and architecture to arts, crafts, and photography.

The Art Guild of Boca Raton began in 1950, it was the grassroots for the Museum of Art. The Museum presents a wide selection of artwork, the permanent and changing exhibits are possible due to the 4,000 piece collection that the Museum draws from. The permanent collection features European sculpture, contemporary art, photography, decorative art and sculpture gardens.

The Children's Science Explorium features hands-on activities for children to experience science through educational and recreational exhibits.

The Gumbo Limbo Nature Center is an environmental learning center with an elevated boardwalk through a coastal hammock, a 40-foot observation tower, outdoor saltwater tanks with sea turtles, a variety of fishes and other marine life. Indoor exhibits include reptiles, aquariums, and a variety of displays that represent local surroundings.

More than 160,000 works of art are on display, these include comic strips, animations, caricatures, books, and greeting cards.

Sports Immortals hosts a collection of sports memorabilia including racing helmets, baseballs, uniforms, World Series pins and other equipment used by sporting greats. Each era in sports history is presented with the sounds and sights of the times.
