Architect James Miller Creighton, during a local building boom that followed the Civil War built the Second Pinal County Courthouse in Florence in 1891. It is the oldest public building in daily use in Arizona. A feature to note is the time on the clock, which always reads 11:44 because the clock face is painted on the tower.
