(Local Name: Palace di San Marco) The palace on the site of the former Medici gardens was built by Bernardo Buontalenti between 1568 and 1574 for Grand Duke Francesco I de'Medici who had his artist's studios and alchemist laboratories here.

Today the building houses the Court of Appeal, the Corte d'Appello.
