Fayetteville - Fort Bragg
Fort Bragg is one of the most famous of the many US Military bases. It is the home of the Airborne, Special Operations Forces, US Army Parachute Team, and Special Operations Command. The general public can visit Fort Bragg, however, photo identification is required at the entry gate. Located near Fayetteville, Fort Bragg is one of the cities key employers.

82nd Airborne Division Museum
The 82nd Airborne Division Museum is located in Fayetteville, on the grounds of Fort Bragg. The museum profiles the development of the airborne forces from 1940 until present day. On display are artifacts from the airborne division along with factual descriptions. Of particular note is the multitude of military aircraft on display in the park-like grounds of the museum. Be sure to bring appropriate identification in order to be admitted to visit Fort Bragg.

John F Kennedy Special Warfare Museum
The John F Kennedy Special Warfare Museum in Fayetteville is a fascinating collection of items all specifically related to US Army Special Operations. The museum specializes in items from the 20th Century with a particular emphasis on items from Vietnam. Also on display are ethnographical items from the indigenous people of South East Asia.
