Fano - Arch of Augustus

(Local Name: Arco di Augusto) Near the Cathedral of San Fortunato in Fano the triumphal triple Arch of Augustus (Arco di Augusto; second century; remodeled in the ninth century) spans the street. The original form of the arch can be seen on the facade of the adjoining church of San Michele (Renaissance doorway).
