Èze - Village
Eze-Village, the old refuge settlement, has a picturesque situation 427m/1,400ft up on a conical rock crowned by the ruins of a castle from which there are marvelous views; it is still surrounded by its 17th C. walls. In its narrow streets can be found many handicraft enterprises and perfumeries. This is where Nietzsche drafted the third section of his "Thus Spake Zarathustra" composition.
