Exuma Cays - Exuma Cays Land and Sea National Park

Created in 1959, this national park covers 112,640ac/45,603ha of land and sea in and around the Exuma Cays. The park is referred to as a submarine Garden of Eden and the numerous islets and cays feature unspoiled beaches, attractive anchorages as well as colorful marine life. Some caves are still home to iguanas, and many species of colorful tropical birds can be sighted. The marine park is noted as the first of its kind in the Caribbean.
