Kingsbridge, England

Kingsbridge is a small town in southern Devon. Golf, walking, and sailing are popular activities for visitors. The lovely beaches and spectacular scenery in and around Kingsbridge are also notable attractions.

Sorley Tunnel Adventure Farm

The Sorley Tunnel Adventure Farm has activities for the whole family. It is a 200 acre working organic beef and dairy farm that also has an adventure play area, horse and pony rides, craft workshops and a scenic walk along an old railbed with a half-mile long tunnel.

Salcombe, England

Drive through the charming small town of Kingsbury - try to visit its Cooksworthy Museum - to the village of Salcombe (pop. 2,000), which has a sheltered yacht harbor, a good sandy beach and gloriously colorful subtropical plants. The village nestles under a steep hill, from which there is a good view of the fjord-like arms of the sea which cut into the land.
Most tourists visiting Salcombe are particularly interested in sailing and yachting. Walking the South West Coast Path is also a noted attraction.

Overbecks Museum and Garden

Overbecks Museum and Garden are National Trust properties located in Sharpitor, Salcombe. The museum is housed in the Edwardian home of the scientist Otto Overbeck. The museum's displays include 19th C photographs of the area, local shipbuilding tools, various toys a nautical collection and some of Mr. Overbeck's drawings.
The garden features a wide variety of rare plants, trees and shrubs.

Bigbury Bay, England

Bigbury-on-Sea (pop. 561) lies in a charming setting at the mouth of the Avon in a wide bay with a sandy beach.
Canoeing, windsurfing, walks along the coast and golfing are popular activities in Bigbury-on-Sea.

Kingswear, England

Kingswear is across the River Dart in South Devon. The privately owned Kingswear Castle, a 15th century artillery tower, is located on the outskirts of town. Kingswear is a terminus for the Paignton & Dartmouth Steam Railway, a heritage railway with links to Dartmouth.

Round Robin

The Round Robin is a road, rail and river tour of Totnes, Paignton, Kingswear and Dartmouth. The tour can be started at any point and you can stop to enjoy the sights at any or all points along the way. From Kingswear, the tour continues on a short ferry ride to Dartmouth.

Coleton Fishacre Garden

The garden was created by Lady Dorothy D'Oyly Carte in stream-fed valleys overlooking the sea. There are a wide variety of trees and shrubs, including swamp cypress, Chilean myrtle and mimosas, as well as a herbaceous walled garden.
