Selby Attractions

 
From Howden follow the A63 for a further 11mi/18km to reach Selby (population 12,000). This small town on the banks of the Ouse has many notable Georgian houses and one of the most attractive abbey churches in England, founded in 1069.

From Selby it is 14mi/23km northwards on the A19 back to York.

Walking and cycling are popular activities in and around Selby.
