Romsey is a small market town 8mi/12km northwest of Southampton (pop. 13,200).
Located on the River Test, Romsey is famous for fly-fishing. The centre of the town is dominated by a Norman Abbey.

Mottisfont Abbey Garden, House and Estate
Mottisfont Abbey Garden, House and Estate is a National Trust property situated on the River Test. The 12th C Abbey became a private house after the Dissolution and contains a drawing room featuring a 20th C picture collection.

The Garden and Estate grounds include the Mottisfont village and surrounding farmland woods. The garden is renowned for its National Collection of Roses, walled garden and magnificent trees.
