Malton Attractions
Malton (pop. 4,000) is a little market town on the banks of the Derwent. It lies in the center of a large farming area, mainly devoted to corn-growing but also known for the breeding of racehorses. Malton has a mix of architecture such as St Michael's Church, a fine Late Norman building with a perpendicular tower. St Mary's Church, in Old Malton, is all that remains of a Gilbertine priory founded in about 1150.

Eden Camp Modern History Theme Museum
A very interesting museum, this site was once a POW camp from World War II. It has a number of intact huts that now house tableaux displaying the story of the "People's War" of Great Britain. Three replica aircraft are displayed around the museum.
