The town of Hampstead lies NW of London with some notable architecture and several museums. Hampstead Heath is a well-known destination for Londoners to walk or enjoy one of the three public swimming ponds. There are open-air concerts on summer Saturday evenings as well as book and poetry readings.
2 Willow Road is a three-storey brick and concrete house built by Erno Goldfinger in 1939. Erno Goldfinger was an early 20th C furniture designer, and many of his pieces are on display in the house. You will also find art by some of his contemporaries including Henry Moore, Max Ernst, Bridget Riley and Marcel Duchamp.
Although 2 Willow Road does not look like anything special, particularly compared to its surroundings, it was a relative first in its class during the time period it was built. It is considered one of Britain's best examples of Modern Movement architecture.
Fenton House is a late 17th C house with musical instruments on display belonging to the Benton Fletcher collection. The Binning collection of embroideries and furniture is also on display.

Kenwood House stands on beautifully landscape grounds with gardens overlooking the lake. This neo-Classical mansion was restored by Robert Adam in the 1700s and later became the property of Lord Iveagh Guinness who donated Kenwood House to the government, along with a collection of art. English and foreign paintings, including works by Rembrandt, Vermeer, Turner, Gainsborough and Reynolds are all set against a backdrop of sumptuous rooms. One the more recent additions to the collection is " Hampstead Heath with Pond and Bathers" by Constable. Also open to the public is the library, one of the great creations of Adam's remodeling.
Some of the art collections have limited visiting hours.
