Devon - North Coast

The cliffs of North Devon, buffeted by the Atlantic waves, are widely held to offer the most breathtaking cliff scenery in the whole of Great Britain. These slate formations on the Bristol Channel, differing in age and color and often much weathered, are impressive in their grandiose beauty. This coastal area combines with the adjoining Exmoor, which rises to a height of 750ft/229m in Dunkery Beacon, to form a holiday region of great variety, from the lively seaside resorts on the Bristol Channel to the tiny and secluded villages in the heart of the moor.
