Coggeshall is located off the A120 west of Colchester. The town market has been in operation every week since 1256.

Grange Barn is a National Trust property located in Coggeshall. This is one of the oldest surviving timber-framed buildings in Europe, built in the 12th century by the Cisterian monks of Coggleshall Abbey.

Paycocke's is a National Trust property located in Coggeshall. The richly ornamented merchant's house is surrounded by a fine garden and dates from the early 16th C. Within the house, examples of famous Coggeshall lace are on display.
