Bramber is located on the A283 northwest of Shoreham by Sea. St. Mary's House is a late 15th century home that is still lived in. Bramber is also home to the ruins of Bramber Castle built around 1066.
Bramber Castle is an English Heritage property on the west side of Bramber village. There are ruins of a castle gatehouse which was built by the Normans.
St Marys House in Bramber is a spectacular Grade 1 medieval structure dating from 1470. It contains rare 16th century painted wall-leather and a library with a private collection of the works by the Victorian poet and caricaturist Thomas Hood.
The surrounding gardens include an amusing topiary and an exceptional example of the "Living Fossil" tree.
