Boroughbridge Attractions

Boroughbridge has a rich history with a Roman settlement nearby and three standing stones believed to be from the Bronze Age. The standings stones are known as "The Devil's Arrows".

Aldbrough Roman Town is an English Heritage property located in Boroughbridge, 20km northeast of Harrogate. It was the principal town of the Brigantes, the largest tribe in Roman Britain. There are remains of the Roman defenses and two pavements from a large town house.
