Alum Bay Attractions 
Alum Bay is a Mecca for geologists: the almost vertical strata of sandstone here are beautifully colored red, yellow, green and gray, and contrast strikingly with the white of the chalk cliffs. The Needles Pleasure Park is an attraction on the island with a spectacular chairlift ride that enables visitors to view the world-famous colored sand cliffs of Alum Bay.
