Alton Attractions
Alton (pop. 14,600) is located on the Wye River 24mi/39km southeast of Southampton. The town has an interesting museum with farm equipment, a gallery with a ceramics collection, a sports centre with indoor pool and courts, as well as Town Gardens and King's Pond.
Broadlands Riding Centre
Alton contains the Broadlands Riding Centre which offers cross-country riding, jumping, dressage and tuition. There are both horses and ponies, and unaccompanied children are allowed (over age of 10).
