Ekenäs - Raasepori Castle

(Local Name: Raseborg) 8km/5mi from Ekenäs on the Helsinki road (No. 53) a country road diverges to the right, signposted to Snappertuna. This leads to the ruined castle of Raasepori (Swedish Raseborg). Although it now lies inland, in the 14th century it was washed by the sea and could be reached by boat. It was abandoned in the 16th century.
