Beni Hasan - Tomb of Amenemhet - Vestibule

In the vestibule are two octagonal columns supporting the flat vaulted roof. On the uprights and lintel of the entrance door are prayers for the dead and the titles of the dead man. On either side of the doorway is a long inscription of the 15th day of the second month of the inundation in the 43rd year of Sesostris I's reign glorifying Amenemhet's exploits in several military campaigns and the benefits he conferred on his nome.
