Maréttimo Island
Maréttimo (12sq.km/4.5 sq.mi; pop. 800) is the most westerly island in the group, about 30km/19mi from Trapani. The mountainous interior culminates in Monte Falcone (686m/2,251ft), while on the coast there are tiny areas of flat land. The vegetation consist for the most part of macchia. The island has freshwater springs.

The little village of Maréttimo is on the east side of the island. In the village square there are bars but there are no hotels, only private accommodation. The island has as yet been untouched by tourism.
