Edmonton - Legislature Building

 
In the midst of a park-like garden high above the North Saskatchewan River where the last Fort Edmonton once stood, is today the site of the Government Center together with the Legislature Building constructed in 1911/1912 (107 St./97 Ave. From the terrace there is a beautiful view across the North Saskatchewan River to the far bank. In the basement of the Legislature Building is the Exhibition Hall with exhibits illustrating the history, art and culture of the Province of Alberta.

The Centennial Carillon can often be heard in the 13 ha (32 acre) park with its music pavilion and hothouses.
