Edmonton - Government House

High above the river near the Provincial Museum of Alberta stands Government House, built in 1912. Until 1938 it was the seat of the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta in Edmonton. Today it is used for official receptions and conferences; there are guided tours on Sundays.

The Govovernment House underwent renovations and restorations in early 2006. The Government House Foundation has worked hard to see the building is preserved and recognized as a historical site.
