Eagle Pass - Fort Duncan Park

Fort Duncan was established in 1849 to serve as protection against the American Indians. The fort was occupied by Confederate troops of Frontier Regiment during the civil war and reoccupied by federal troops in 1868. It functioned as a military post until 1916.

Many of the buildings still remain and have been restored.
