Wafi City

Wafi City is an elegant shopping center located in the Oud Metha area of Dubai. Wafi City was designed in ancient Egyptian themed architecture with huge Egyptian statues and the entrance guarded by giant sphinxes.

The shopping mall portion of Wafi City sells upscale designer clothing, shoes, jewelry and gifts. Nearby is the Pyramids, which contains the well known Cleopatra spa and many restaurants.

Fun and games for children can be had at the Encounter Zone, another complex in Wafi City.

Encounter Zone

Encounter Zone is a family entertainment center that offers plenty of activities for children and adults. Located within Wafi City shopping mall, the Encounter Zone allows visitors to explore the Crystal Maze, ride an indoor roller coaster, or be scared out of your wits in a horror chamber.

Encounter Zone is two separate worlds - Galactica, which offers video and arcade games and Lunarland, which is a soft play area.

The roller coaster simulator makes you feel like you are on the real thing. The Komet takes children around the top of the building while the Crystal Maze features 3-D films.

Al Nasr Leisureland

Al Nasr Leisureland is a modern park offering a variety of sports facilities including an ice rink, bowling alley and swimming pools, as well as a children's amusement park. The children's play area has three water slides. Go-karts, bumper cars, a helicopter, and roller coasters are found within the amusement park. Squash and tennis courts are available and play host to the annual Al Nasr Leisureland Squash Open tournament.

Nashwan Hall is an ideal venue for stage shows, musicals and fashion shows or parties, receptions and weddings.

There is an admission charge for the main facility and then each of the other facilities has an additional fee.

Al-Boom Tourist Village

Al-Boom Tourist Village consists of a wedding ballroom complex complete with a banquet hall, a coffee shop and an amusement park. The ballroom complex has 5 halls with unique decor and marble floors.

The Al-Boom Tourist Village marina has five cruise boats that provide tours in single and double-decker dhows. Two-hour dinner cruises are offered nightly and the afternoon cruises give tourists the opportunity to view the skyscrapers that line the Creek in a relaxing atmosphere.

The traditional architecture has made Al-Boom Tourist Village a landmark in Dubai. The five-star hotel was designed to appear in the shape of a sailing dhow.

Creekside Park

Creekside Park is a large family park with pathways and jogging tracks, barbecue pits, beaches and an amphitheater. Other attractions in Creekside Park include a children's play area, 18 hole mini-golf course, fishing pier and several kiosks for refreshments.

Creekside Park is a green oasis with 96 ha of lawn and botanic gardens. Over 280 botanical species are displayed in the exotic garden including a desert garden with traditional irrigation system as well as many flower gardens.

The park is located between Al Maktoum and Al Garhoud Bridge along the shore of Dubai Creek.

Children's City

Children's City is a popular attraction in Creekside Park that targets children between the ages of five and fifteen. The aim of Children's City is to develop curiosity through fun and play.

Interactive displays at Children's City in Dubai include space exploration, nature, global culture and the human body.

The planetarium seats 100 people and the amphitheater offers regular programming.

The building is bright and colorful, representing children's building blocks. Children's City is set in a park, along a palm-lined path with the `blue' block to the left containing 5 galleries over 3 stories dedicated to science and play. The `red' block houses three galleries dedicated to the culture of Dubai and the UAE.

WonderLand Theme and Water Park

WonderLand Theme and Water Park is divided into three sections. The Main Street offers unique attractions such as a water mist show and videos played on a thin film of water as well as slot machines and arcade games. The Water Park section of WonderLand offers a lazy river, speed slides, surf hills, twisters and wave runners. The Theme Park includes a challenging roller coaster, bumper cars and cart race.

The Indoor Family Entertainment Zone has children's games, juvenile games and a food court.
