Drumheller Valley Interpretive Centre (formerly Drumheller Dinosaur & Fossil Museum)

 
In addition to a collection of minerals and some Indian exhibits the main emphasis is on bones and skeletons of dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals.

The Drumheller Valley Interpretive Centre opened in the 1960s when it was called the Drumheller Dinosaur & Fossil Museum. It was the first such museum in the area but in recent days the museum, now the Interpretive Centre has reshaped itself.

Must-see attractions nearby:
The main focus is on the history of the valley, including not just the time of the dinosaurs but up through the ice age, the history of the Native people in the area, the coal mines, and the "Dinosaur Hunters".
Hours:
May 1 to June 30: 10am-5pm
July 1 to August 31: 10am-6pm
September 1 to October 15: 10am-5pm
Tips: Open by appointment only in the winter season.
