Doylestown - National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa
The story of the American Czestochowa began to unfold in 1953 when Father Michael M. Zembrzuski, a Pauline monk from Poland, purchased a small parcel of farmland. Within two years a small barn was converted into a chapel and solemnly dedicated to Our Lady of Czestochowa on June 26, 1955.
Today, the 170 acre parcel of land features a large church, monastery, and cemetery.
