Laudat is one of the best starting points for a visit to the Morne Trois Pitons National Park.

This ridge-topped village 7mi/11km from Roseau is named after Pascal Laudat who was granted land at the head of the Roseau Valley in 1805.

Papillote Wilderness Retreat is a small hotel set in 12ac/4.8ha gardens fed by a small stream from a 98ft/29m waterfall.

Paths wind among bamboo trees, orchids, bromeliads and begonias.
