Gyali

(Local Name: Yialí) Off the north coast of Nísyros in the direction of Kos is the little obsidian island of Yialí (Gyalí; area 6 sq. km/2.25 sq. mi; alt. 177m/581ft; pumice quarry). To the west are the islets of Pasikiá and Peroúsa, both with ancient watch-towers, and Kandelioúsa (area 2 sq. km/.75 sq. mi; alt. 103m/338ft; lighthouse).
