Description
Housed in Kirkland's historic studio, where he taught art classes and created his work, the Vance Kirkland Museum features decorative arts, paintings and other exhibits that reflect the life and times of the artist. The studio, built in 1910, is Colorado's oldest commercial art building. It was used by Henry Read for the Students' School of Art until 1931 and then Kirkland purchased it in 1932 for his students.
