Kerteminde - Johannes Larsen Museum Attractions

Some 40 km/25 mi north of Nyborg on Kerteminde Bay lies the pretty fishing town of Kerteminde, where many of the old houses have been preserved. In a half-timbered house, built in 1630, can be found the Municipal Museum, with paintings etc. (opening hours given). In St Lawrence's Church, built probably ca. 1200 and later remodelled, visitors can see models of ships.
The museum offers more than special exhibitions and paintings of interest - it also displays a historical architecture that enables the visitor to gain a sense of the artists history. The old home of the artist Johannes Larsen is located in the centre of the museum.
Fjord & Belt Centre
The Fjord and Belt Center is a research facility and aquarium open to visitors who wish to observe the fish and plant life in the region. There are touch pools, observation windows and interpretative sessions by marine biologists.
