Rajpath Description
Rajpath, also known as King's Way is the ceremonial boulevard in New Delhi. Rajpath runs from Rashtrapati Bhavan, past Vijay Chowk and India Gate to the National Stadium.

This boulevard is flanked, on both sides, with trees, grass and ponds. Annually on January 26th, Rajpath is the sight of the Republic Day parade - thousands gather to watch!

The western end of Rajpath is the Rashtrapati Bhavan or President's Residence. Prior to India's independences it was the Viceroy's residence. This is one of the most magnificent buildings in New Delhi, with a mix of Mughal and European architectural styles and 340 decorated rooms.
