Description
The Walter Wright Pioneer Village is about 3 km (2 mi.) east of Dawson Creek on Hwy 2 to Edmonton. It is an open-air museum with 14 typical historical buildings that have been moved here. These include an old smithy, grocery store, school-house, two churches and a trapper's log cabin.

The buildings are all funished in period.

The Walter Wright Pioneer Village allows visitors a glimpse into the time period before the Alaska Highway was built. Tour groups sometimes descend on the village which can become quite busy during the summer months.
