Paralimni Attractions
Paralimni is the biggest village in the Famagusta region. Although most of the surrounding villages and resort areas are deserted during the winter months, Paralimni prospers and attracts many tourists. Since the Turkish military occupation of Famagusta in 1974, this small town has become the temporary administrative center of the district.
The twin-aisled vaulted church, dedicated to the Virgin Mary (Panagia) is decorated with unusual 18th century porcelain plates. The church, parts of which belong to the 13th century, houses a small ecclesiastical museum.

Kapparis Water Fun
The Kapparis Water Fun Center offers parasailing, waterskiing and family boating opportunities. The center is located on the east coast of Cyprus.

The Paralimni Municipal Athletic Center has a wide variety of facilities, including a soccer stadium, tennis courts and a pool.
