(Local Name: Lárnaka (eparkhía)) The Larnaca region has become much more popular since the 1974 Turkish invasion. The area inherited most of the refugees who lost their homes in the invasion and subsequent occupation.

The area thrived with the new population and it now has numerous modern tourist centers, especially in Larnaca town and on the Larnaca-Dhekelia Road.
