Description
Camaguey is the largest province in Cuba and the capital city of the same name is the country's third largest city. Despite its size the province of Camaguey offers only a few worthwhile tourist destinations, making it relatively easy to explore. The main attractions are found in the city of Camaguey and along the coastline.

Although the capital sees relatively few tourists it makes an interesting stop, with many churches and colonial buildings, as well as other cultural attractions. One of the main reason it draws so few visitors is due to its inland location. Along the coast travelers will find the inviting resort area of Playa Santa Lucia, popular for its fine beach and scuba diving opportunities. This area is the most popular tourist destination in Camaguey province.
