Olib Attractions
The island of Olib in the Zadar Archipelago is home to about 700 people. The main settlement is the village of Olib, located on the Bay of Olib. The island was inhabited during Roman times, was first mentioned in the 11th Century by the name Aloip, and became home to refugees fleeing the Turks in the 15th Century. The foundations of Roman structures can still be seen in the Bay of Banjve. Some of the architecture on Olib dates to the 16th Century, including the church of St Anastasia / St Stosija.
