Kampor Attractions
The little village of Kampor, on Kampor Cove (Damporska Draga) in the northwest corner of Rab Island, has long been a farming community. The landscape is filled with olive trees, orchards, and livestock. It is also a fishing village, as is reflected in the cuisine. A more modern addition to Kampor's economy is tourism. Holiday homes and tourist facilities have recently begun to arrive on the scene. The main cultural attractions in Kampor are a Romanesque church and adjoining Franciscan Monastery of St Euphemia, and the Church of St Bernard.
For outdoor sports enthusiasts the town also offers a variety of water sports, including scuba diving schools. The main beach is the long sand Veli Mel beach.
