Gradac Attractions

The town of Gradac is known for having the longest beach in the Adriatic, measuring over 6km / 4mi in length. Located along this beach are a number of hotels, campgrounds, and green spaces. Gradac is situated at the end of the Makarska Riviera (Makarska (Rivijera). In town is a 1661 watchtower, built as a measure to defend against the Turks. The fortification, known as Grada, is what the town is named after.

Near Gradac is Zaostrog with a Franciscan Monaster (Franjevacki Samostan), built in the 15th and 16th Centuries. It contains a small art gallery and library. Also of interest is the resort town of Zivogosce which claims to be the oldest settlement along this section of the coast.
