Creston Valley Museum

Creston Valley Museum, sometimes called the "Stone House Museum", is built of local stone and contains relics from the pioneering period as well as numerous works of art and everyday utensils of the Kootenay (Kutenai) Indians, including reproduction of a canoe such as was used by that tribe. Life-sized speaking dolls give information about life in the times of the early pioneers.
On the grounds are an old trapper's cabin and school house that visitors can walk through. Inside the Creston Valley Museum guests will see an old doctor's office and general store laid out as it would have been in early days.
