Basaseachic Falls Cascada de Bassaseachic (Basaseáchic)

Basaseáchic Falls at Ocampo are set in superb wooded mountain scenery. The waterfall is the highest in Mexico, plunging 310 m (1017 ft) into a gorge on the Basaseáchic River.

They are reached either by going westwards from La Junta in the direction of Yepáchic, the road being asphalted to begin with but later unsurfaced or from Creel via San Juanito (31km/19mi), from where an unsurfaced road goes through Yoquivo to the Parque Nacional Cascadas (about 135km/84mi).
