In 1951, Miss Anne Sherman Hoyt, former president of the board of trustees, bequeathed the brick Gay-Hoyt House to the Historical Society. The Museum collects and conserves archival, genealogical, photographic, artistic, archaeological and other museum collections that pertain to the history of Sharon.
