Niantic Attractions
This area was traditionally the territory of the Nehantic Indians. When the settlers arrived they lived peacefully along side the Indians and later named the town after the tribe using a variation of the name.
Children's Museum of Southeastern Connecticut
The Children's Museum of Southeastern Connecticut offers hands on educational exhibits designed for children up to age 11. Exhibits include a health discovery center, a literacy-based display, global village and science room.

Millstone Discovery Center
Millstone Discovery Center in Niantic features petting pools of marine life, as well as hands on science displays. There is also a nature trail which runs along the waterfront.
Thomas Lee House
Built in 1660, the Thomas Lee House is a Colonial wood frame house furnished in period. At the back of the property is a Colonial herb garden.
