Springer Opera House Description

The Springer Opera House was built in 1871 and considered one of the finest opera houses in the United States. During the Great Depression it was turned into a movie theater and eventually fell into a state of disrepair. Restoration of the building began in the mid 1960s and it was opened as a performing arts center.

Today the theater is still undergoing restoration but is functioning as a working theater with two main stages.
