The town of Ouray is located in the San Juan Mountains of southwestern Colorado. Known as the "Switzerland Of America", the entire town is listed on the National Historic Register.
The Bachelor-Syracuse Mine Tour in Ouray takes visitors on a guided tram ride into Gold Hill, a silver and gold mine. Visitors can see the work area and equipment used in mining. Gold panning and a visit to the turn-of-the-century Blacksmith shop are other highlights.

The Ouray County Museum is housed in the original St. Joeseph's Miners' Hospital that was completed in 1887. Exhibits are found in 27 rooms featuring mining, ranching and railroading, which were the three main employment opportunities in the early history of Ouray.

The Ouray Hot Springs Pool is located at the north end of town. The soothing hot mineral water has been available to residents and visitors for over half a century. The Fitness Center is located on the second level of the Ouray Natural Hot Springs Pool Bathhouse.
