Moffat County is in the far northwest corner of Colorado, and includes the town of Craig, as well as Dinosaur National Monument. Much of the rest of the county is administered by the Bureau of Land Management.
Browns Park National Wildlife Refuge was created in 1963 to provide a sanctuary for Canada geese, ducks and other migratory birds. Located in the far northwest of Colorado, Browns Park is on the Green River below Flaming Gorge Dam.
Tips: Due to the remote nature of the Refuge, visitors are encouraged to bring extra supplies including water, food, and fuel in case of emergency.
