Louisville Attractions
Louisville is located in Boulder County north of Denver. Established as a coal mining community in 1877, Louis Nawatny, a land owner in the area, named the town after himself.
The Louisville History Museum is housed in a building known as the Jacoe Store. The museum occupies three historic buildings, built between 1904 and 1908, located on Main Street. Exhibits include artifacts, historic photographs and items from industry in Louisville, including coal mining and equipment.
