Littleton began as a farming community in the 1860s and was incorporated in 1890. The town is a suburb of Denver in Arapahoe County. Many of Littleton's old buildings have been restored including the courthouse, town hall and Carnegie library. The town became infamous after the Columbine High School massacre in April, 1999.
Arrowhead Golf Club is an 18-hole public course in Littleton, with a clubhouse featuring a full restaurant and patio. Arrowhead hosts 200 tournaments each year.

Hudson Gardens began in 1941 on 5 acres of land when Santa Fe Drive was a 2 lane dirt road. Hudson Gardens has grown to encompass 30 acres including plants, flowers and trees Walkways, a rock garden and butterfly garden are other highlights as well as ponds, sculpture and a garden railroad.

The Littleton Historical Museum is a living history museum encompassing a 14-acre complex that includes three galleries, a research library, farms from the 1860s to 1890s, the town's original log schoolhouse, and a working blacksmith shop from 1903. Costumed interpreters work the farms, run the blacksmith shop and teach in the schoolhouse.
