Evergreen Attractions

A few miles west of the city, on the eastern slopes of the Front Range, are the Denver Mountain Parks, a popular recreation area.

The parks comprise a total of 13,448 acres, with elevations ranging from 5,681 feet to 13,001 feet at Summit Lake Park.

The Hiwan Homestead Museum in Evergreen is housed in a 17-room lodge with rooms that offer a glimpse of life from 1890 to 1930. This local history museum has changing exhibits and maintains active craft and interpretive school programs.
